Patrick J. Psaila
Patrick is a registered psychologist and training consultant working with organisations since he graduated in psychology from the University of Malta in 1991. In 1997 he completed an academic and practical Masters programme in Adult and Group Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Patrick is a Licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and a member of the Society of NLP. He was awarded his license by the Irish Institute NLP in Dublin.
Patrick is also a certified MSCEIT practitioner. The MSCEIT (Mayer, Salovey, Caruso, Emotional Intelligence Test) uses an ability model to assess levels of emotional intelligence in individuals.
Patrick works with various large and medium sized organisations involved in manufacturing, education, health, tourism, banking, and other services as a trainer, consultant, and psychologist. Patrick specializes in personal and professional development for managers and leaders in organizations, with a particular interest in Emotional Intelligence. In 1998 he established WorkAssist as a professional service that offers workplace counselling, personal and professional development programmes, coaching, mentoring and HR consultancy. He is now Director of PsyPotential (Malta) specialising in psychology at work.
Patrick lectures at the University of Malta, The Institute of Health Care, the Foundation for Human Resources Development and the Malta Institute of Management. He has also given keynote addresses on Emotional Intelligence and Resonant Leadership in International Conferences held in the UK and Switzerland.
Sharon is an experienced Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach who has worked across multiple industries and specialised in leadership development, improving corporate cultures and helping businesses become sustainable through coaching Senior Executives and their teams. With over 25 years of experience working at Senior Executive level within Financial Services, Telecoms, Media and Retail, Sharon utilises a personal style and pragmatic approach enabling clients to see unique value and apply workable approaches to strategic, operational and corporate culture challenges.
Sharon holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Strategies & Leadership Development and is a member of the Academy for Chief Executives Malta and the Institute of Directors (UK). In addition, Sharon was also Shareholder and Director of Corporate Operations for the PayX Group (a specialist consultancy firm focused on Change Management and Technical Consultancy in the Payments Acquiring industry) for over 10 years.
Having worked on major projects within the Financial Services industry, Sharon has held key consultancy positions for major change projects within Danske Bank, National Australia Group, PBS Denmark, Barclays Bank, Northern Bank and Clydesdale Bank. In addition, Sharon was also heavily involved in coaching Leadership Executives during the take-over of Northern Bank by Danske Bank as well as other major change initiatives within the organisations.
Sharon held Divisional HR Director roles within National Australia Group and also Informa PLC (merge between Lloyds List Publishing and IBC Conferences) a FTSE 250 B2B Information provider for worldwide publishing and conferencing events). Key roles included reporting directly to the Divisional Chief Executive and Chief of Global HR on all aspects of Leadership, Strategic HR and coaching key individuals.
Claire Suzanne Borg
Claire holds a B.Psy (Hons) degree from the University of Malta, and an MSc. Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Limerick, Ireland. Claire has focused on research on productivity and communication in the workplace. She is licensed by the BPS (RQTU 398354) as a personality and ability test psychometrician.
Claire’s strong interest and educational background in Work Psychology has led her to work in a diverse number of sectors, namely through psychometric practices, work psychology consultancy and recruitment.
Claire’s experience with long-term unemployed persons and persons from disadvantaged backgrounds has cultivated a special interest in mindfulness in the workplace practices. Moreover, working with adults from the aforementioned backgrounds has encouraged Claire to work with local teens and pre-teens in order to help them prepare themselves for the world of work and challenges that they may face while taking this important step in their careers.
Additionally, Claire is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga instructor and uses yoga as a platform to inspire her students to test their limits and believe in their ability to achieve anything that they set out to do.
Administration & Marketing Executive
Daniela’s experience spans many years with her career kicking off at Malta’s Broadcasting Station, Xandir Malta (now PBS). She then worked for over thirty years with Air Malta. Besides administrative responsibilities, her work mainly consisted of dealing with agency matters including liaising with International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva & Montreal and other worldwide IATA offices, co-handling of the local coordination of IATA Distance Learning exams, Special Promotional Expenditures and handling of rebated travel for various entities.
Daniela has followed various courses including Management, Business & Industrial Administration, Marketing, European Union and Commerce & Finance. In her spare time her interests are drama and wine appreciation. She is WSET Certified (Wine & Spirit Education Trust – UK).
